NBA Sneaker Watch: Carmelo Anthony Torches Bulls

The NBA regular season will be coming to an end shortly as the playoffs begin on the 28th of this month. With that said, teams who are towards the bottom of their divisions are fighting to grab that last playoff spot. The New York Knicks are one of those teams and they faced the Eastern Conference-leading Chicago Bulls yesterday in a thriller.

The Knicks were up big on the Bulls when suddenly Derrick Rose who balled in his signature adidas adiRose sneakers took over and captured the lead for his team. Carmelo Anthony would see to it, however, that his team would not lose. Melo ultimately knocked down two long range 3s, one in the 4th quarter and one in overtime, to win the game. He broke a fresh pair of Jordan Melo M8s in a Knicks colorway to get the job done.

The rest of the league also saw a number of great games and a good selection of footwear as well. OKC's Kendrick Perkins broke out the Old Royal 10s along with the Rockets' Courntney Lee who laced up the Chicago 10s once again. Montal Ellis broke out the white/red 12s after previously lacing up the Rising joints DeMarcus Cousins may have stolen the show as he balled in the white/back Air Jordan 11 Lows. Let us know who had the best sneaker Easter Sunday.

It should come as no siusrrpe that jordan is anything but completely incompetent at anything that doesn't involve pushing off. Consider his past failures at running a franchise, marriage, gambling, or even just treating people with common decency. Jordan being completely wrong on this issue as well should be expected. Now I get that he has to look out for his best interest, and when you are as bad at evaluating talent as he is you are obviously going to want a system that limits your stupidity. Having said that, let's not pretend for one single second that he is anywhere close to correct about what is fair or just. Given his reputation of being a jerk to pretty much everyone he comes across, concepts like fairness and understanding are most likely foreign to him. And here we have some guy totally eating up all this propaganda. 50/50 is fair!?!??! Are you kidding me? You know what would be fair? Something like 70/30. Of course the players have very little leverage here so are naturally going to get screwed. They have messed up big time. Derek Fisher has no business leading anything. We all knew this day was coming, and the players did nothing to prepare for it. For those of you that think 50/50 is fair do this little thought experiment. How much do the players lose if the NBA folds? A lot right? Maybe 60% of their current value. Now how much do the owners lose? EVERYTHING! BILLIONS AND BILLIONS! They can't get that product back. It's gone. And the reason is because they don't provide much of anything towards the product. The product is the players. Also, I beg to differ that Rashard NBA FINALS! Lewis was grossly overpaid. But that's not really the point anyways as there are a bunch of other guys who would be just as good of an example.
