adidas Cancels Release of JS Roundhouse "Handcuff"

SneakerWatch first brought you a report on a Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals product known as the JS Roundhouse Mid. The Purple/Grey/Yellow sneaker was nicknamed "Handcuff" because of its plastic handcuff feature that was attached to the ankle of each shoe. After causing much controversy on various new channels, adidas now cancels the release of the sneaker which was scheduled to drop in August. Many people were offended by the look of the shoe and news of this outrage went viral when MSNBC ran a story on them. It even prompted civil rights activist Jesse Jackson to issue a statement. The sneaker was to retail at $350.

Smartest thing Adidas has ever done was to avert even more backlash from this product. I understand cutting edge, but someone should be reprimanded for their role in the supposed launching if this shore. Only those individuals who want to go against the grain would try to get a pair to be NOTICED.
