Nike LeBron 9 "Wounded Warriors Project" by Mache

SneakerWatch has mentioned how creative and sly the many sneaker customizers are when trying to find inspiration for a new custom design. Mache Customs, who is one of the more frequent footwear stylists, continually shows his artistic touch when he goes to work. This time around, he did so with a kind heart as he outfitted the "Cool Grey" LeBron 9 for a great cause.
The Wounded Warriors Project is a non-profit organization which raises awareness for the use of public aid to help soldiers who've been hurt in combat. Since the 9/11 tragedy, they organization has raised over $130 million and to continue their valiant efforts, they called upon Mache to custom design a pair of kicks to be sold at auction during the Rhode Island Sneaker XChange on September 2nd. Mache was more than happy to agree as he lost his father due to complications of injuries sustained in combat.
Mache got hold of the "Cool Grey" LeBron 9s and catching inspiration from a vintage "Warhawk" aircraft, he added shades of blue along with fog-like hues all highlighted by a row shark teeth surrounding the toe area. The sneaker is a 1-of-1, size 12 creation and will be auctioned off at the Rhode Island Dunk XChange on September. Let us know what you think of the design.
