During the London Olympic Games, we got a chance to see some special footwear unveiled for the obvious special occasion. Most of the kicks came from Nike and Jordan Brand as a number of Team USA's members are part of those companies. But adidas Basketball was also set to bring out new products if their two major stars Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard were healthy enough to have participated. The two of them were sidelined with injuries and in the case of the big center, Howard would have debuted his new adiPower Howard 3 signature sneaker. The pair pictured here is a "Gold Medal" version which features a purple upper with gold accents, reminiscent of his new team's (LA Lakers) uniform colors.
