Blake Griffin Resigns With Nike

This NBA off-season one of the major sneaker headlines belonged to Blake Griffin. The sneaker free agent had just finished up his Nike contract and was due for a resigning. After the success of both his PE Hyperdunk releases and off the strength of his marketable talent it didn't surprise anyone when various brands were rumored to be in pursuit of the Los Angelos Clippers forward. According to Sole Collector, Griffin received up to a $7 million per year offer from Chinese brand Anta to make the jump while other unnamed brands were also in the mix.
In the end Blake opted to return to the Swoosh and will continue to be one of their prime athletes to don their signature Hyperdunk. Although no exact numbers have been announced we're sure BG received a moderate raise from his former $800,000 a year signing in 2009.
