The nation is still reeling from last week's tragic Connecticut school shooting which went down as the second deadliest school shooting in America's history. Now another act of violence has occurred and this time it lands in the sneaker community as a 16-year-old boy was killed over his Air Jordan sneakers.

Teenager Juan Reyna, a high school freshman from Houston, was gunned down in a neighbor's home over a pair of Air Jordans. Juan had recently purchased the sneakers from nineteen-year-old Yusef Villanueva. According to the victim's father, the violence occurred after the two become involved in an argument over the coveted kicks.

Villanueva was charged with murder in the case, although he contends that the gun went off by accident. Juan Reyna would have turned 17 today.
