NBA Sneaker Recap 12/26-12/30
The athletes of the National Basketball Association who played on Christmas day are coming off a great showing during that night of great games. Since then, they've managed to keep up the trend of eye-catching footwear and before the year is out, we get a look at what the athletes laced up around the league over the past few days.
We start off with athletes who decided to bring out their "Bred" Air Jordan 11's which continues to be a highly desirable sneaker. The likes of Monta Ellis and Amir Johnson, who've been unofficially repping Jordan Brand strongly brought them out. Keeping it in the JB family, the Suns' Shannon Brown showed out in the "Cool Grey" 9's while the Knicks' J.R. Smith continued his great scoring in the "Playoff" 12's.
The Air Max Hyperposite continues to be a footwear choice by several athletes such as rookie sensation Anthony Davis, Chris Bosh, Lamarcus Aldridge, and Al Horford who all brought out Player Exclusive versions of the popular Nike Basketball model. Footwear from the Penny line was also seen as Deron Williams, Charlie Villanueva, and Thaddeus Young all balled in the "Orlando" Penny 5's while Rajon Rondo went with the black/stealth Foamposite Ones.
Signature athlete footwear was also on display in abundance as the likes of Kobe, LeBron, KD, and CP all showed up in their respective signature kicks. Kobe may have outshown them all as he unveiled a few pairs of Player Exclusive Kobe 8's coming in Lakers colors. LeBron brought out his "Pressure" joints while KD and CP went with "Home" versions of their current models.
