NBA Sneaker Watch: Rajon Rondo Posts Triple Double in Foamposites

The NBA season has progressed nicely and before you know it the league will be heading into All Star Weekend. There will certainly be an abundance of spectacular footwear on display in one building next month and several athletes have shown off a strong arsenal of kicks throughout the first half of the season preparing for the break. The games that took place on Saturday night were no different and here we get a recap of the best sneakers from around the league.
We start off with Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo who's been one of the surprise athletes turned sneakerhead this season. As they took on the Hawks in Atlanta, he laced up the "Fighter Jet" Foamposite Ones which were reported to release on New Year's Day. They haven't dropped as of yet and Rondo's been the only athlete to bring them out so far, putting up a triple-double in last night's win.
The New York Knicks continue to roll as well as their star Carmelo Anthony rallied them to a win on the road against the Magic. Melo put up an impressive 40 points in his "Knicks" Jordan Melo M9's while his running mate J.R. Smith balled out in the "Playoff" Air Jordan 12's. Other games from around the league also saw outstanding footwear as the Bucks' Monta Ellis brought out the Bred 11's as he went up against the Pacers' Gerald Green who decided to lace up the Concord 11's. Player Exclusive versions of the Air Max Hyperposite continue to stand out as well with the likes of LaMarcus Aldridge, Anthony Davis, Al Horford, and Davis West showing off different colorways of the popular Nike Basketball silhouette. Nick Young of the 76ers may have stolen the show as he was seen in the "Doernbecher" Air Jordan 3's.
