Exclusive! Air Jordan 5 "Grape" 2013 Retro

Over the weekend Jordan Brand launched their first retro Jordan 5 of the year and they aren't stopping there. One of the most anticipated sneakers they have on the horizon is the "Grape" colorway which is stated to be back out in May. Luckily we were able to get our hands on a pair early and we're here to provide you with an early exclusive look at what to expect from the shoe's second rerelease.

Click through the photos and let us know what are your first thoughts on the 2013 edition of the "Grape" Air Jordan 5.

Continued...Brand started the whole "ls" concept( an explanation for putting out, loud non og colorways, limited, deemed an instant sellout). Great postings though!

Overall, as I previously stated, this og colorway is a must have. The whole "ls" concept is neither here or there, let's just all be thankful that Jordan Brand is releasing this shoe within a 6 year turn around. We are still waiting on the Laney v(they sat horribly when they released in 2000), hence why I think Jordan. B

This shoe set the precedence for what Jordan Brand does on a regular when it comes to their quickstrike releases. The Grape V first retro in Sept 2006 was apart of the whole "ls" line which represented the loud colorways that Jordan Brand where putting out in 2006-2007; the pea green v, the. "Do The Right Thing" iii, etc. As the fellow sneakerhead posted, the Mocha iii was a "ls(lifestlye)" colorway, but if I'm not mistaken back in August 2001 when the Mocha iii released, along with the Black Cement iii's( I still have the Mocha's), the term "ls" was not being used.

Grape 5s are one of the best Jordan colorways ever. I feel as though the "LS" Jordan's have helped make the brand what it is today and JB has seriously been slacking on LS colorways. When the grape 5s first came out, they were so left field they made a huge statment similar to the mocha 3's. nowadays jbs LS colorways consist of blue or cool grey and that's it. In anycase, grapes are beautiful and define what a lifestyle/casual colorway of a ball shoe should look like
