Air Jordan 5 "Laney" 2013 Retro - First Look

After receiving confirmation that Jordan Brand would be relaunching the "Laney" edition of the Air Jordan 5 we now have an early look of what to expect this Holiday Season. Courtesy of Sole-Up, images of the Look See sample have hit the net and we are already more than impressed. Much like the 2000 rendition the shoes are set on a tumbled leather construction and branded with a #23 on the heel. Unfortunately these are only a Look See model and may be slightly different than the product which will hit retailers in November. am I the only one who doesn't understand why these are so hyped. I mean ok jordan wore these in Laney. I honestly think are ugly as fug. I guess I'm not a sneaker head

No shit you're not a sneakerhead, you don't even know the basics of Jordan's career. The Jordan brand obviously didn't exist when he was in high school so he definitely did not "wear these in Laney". Please do some research before making an idiot of yourself.

@cjay word!...that woulb be ideal the 2000 had the retro card with MJ in his laney uniform but I doubt they'll do that thus time around by the way one thing I can't forget and I doubt it'll happen this time around is that the laneys in 2000 sat on shelves for a minute I remeber coppin a pair the day before it came out went back a month later and Footlocker still had a few pairs left so I copped 2 more. That won't happen this time lol those were the days, and these do look a lil darker but still look def on point

Much anticipated releases like this shoe should have something that people will remember them by like instead of the original air jordan box the shoe box has one large photo of MJ playing at Laney or maybe photos from his HS yr book comes attached to the retro card. Something small like that will be something cool for the consumer cause for some they will inevitably be hustled by the re-seller
