Yesterday Wale released his latest LP entitled Festivus which streamed on Complex and hit social media heavy upon its release. Although Festivus isn't the exact piece of music everyone is waiting for, i.e. The Album About Nothing, Wale made his way to NY to promote his upcoming release which is inspired by some of the things that Wale holds dear to his heart like his love for the sitcom Seinfield.
Amid the release of Wale's Festivus tape, the upcoming Album About Nothing, and his Every Blue venture, Wale became the center of attention for an art exhibit curated by the Eastmen Collective. Inspired by Wale's work, art expression and all of the aspects that surround sneaker culture, the Eastmen Collective teamed up with Roc Nation, Wale & SneakerWatch to present An Art Exhibition About Nothing. Some of the artists included in the show were JBF custom sneakers, Sue Tsai, I Dream In Bluray, Jay West, Naturel, and Max Schieble. Amongst the art, there were illustrations, paintings, sculptures, and three 1 of 1 Air Jordan customs which were designed by JBF Customs that will be raffled off over the next couple of weeks.
Check out a recap of the display art, activities from the event, Wale, and sneaker heat people wore.
Be sure to stay on the look out for our upcoming interview with Wale coming soon.
