In an odd move for Big Baller Brand, the company has decided to scrap the ZO2. The problem with that is that the shoe hasn't shipped out from the preorder from a few months back, and Lonzo Ball hasn't played his first game yet.
Recently, BBB announced the Melo 1s, for Lonzo Ball's high school brother. However, a high schooler having his own shoe has somehow lost its title as most polarizing thing to happen to the Ball family Brand.
In the ZO2s stead will be the ZO2 Prime, which they claim is the lightest sneaker ever. In order for this claim to be true, a size 9 must be under 9.5 ounces, which is the weight of the current title holder in the adidas CrazyLight 3 weighed when it dropped in 2013. Unveiled by SLAM Magazine, the shoe will be the one that Zo will wear this season.
On the plus side, those who ordered the original ZO2 will get the Prime Remix when it ships.
