The Nike Cortez has been a staple throughout many hoods on the West Coast and still has a presence in the streets today. Since Kendrick has ditched Reebok for the Swoosh, we've seen his first collaborative effort with Nike come in the form of alternate Nike Cortez colorway, and now the Compton-based rapper is back with another rendering of the respected sneaker representing his alternate ego and moniker, Kung-Fu Kenny.

The Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez 'Kung-Fu Kenny' features a red canvas base complete with matching red overlays that hit the heel of the sneaker while white leather overlays hit the toebox of the sneaker, the heel panel, lacing eyelets, and Nike branding. Kendrick Lamar's detailing comes in the form of a black ribbon that lays atop the vamp of the kicks and centers the sneaker while reading 'Don't Trip'. K. Dot's latest solo album title DAMN is embroidered in Chinese calligraphy on the lateral forefoot of the sneakers as well.

With the kicks expected to drop sometime this month, it's safe to say that the 'Kung Fu Kenny' Nike Cortez could be dropping during the NBA All-Star Weekend and will be reasonably priced at $100. Let us know your thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar x Nike collaboration in the comments.
