The OG Playstation x Nike Air Force I released in 2006, alongside the PlayStation 3 and instantaneously became a sneaker grail with only 150 pairs of the kicks hitting the market. Majority of the pairs were gifted to Sony employees, sweepstakes winners, and none other than Nike Basketball representative, Kobe Bryant.
An even more limited re-release took place three years later, in 2009, with 50 pairs being gifted to Sony executives and multiple pairs auctioned off for charity. This particular pair featured black patented leather uppers, a gradient blue heel in [a] representation of the gaming system's startup menu, and an embroidered OG Playstation logo placed at the heel of the sneaker.
Back in February, Nike released the Playstation x Nike PG2 which did well on the market for Paul George's second Nike signature sneaker and now it looks like the Swoosh might be bringing back the sneaker that's developed a cult following amongst hardcore sneakerheads.
As of right now, there's no official statement claiming that the Playstation x Nike Air Force I Low will be having its first massive general release but with a recent style code being revealed for the sneaker and a piece on the silhouette popping up on the Nike SNKRS app, we see the kicks hit shelves in the near future.
