The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill recently suspended 13 of its football players after reports surfaced that the players sold their exclusive, team-issued Air Jodan 3s. In an official statement released on the matter, UNC states that nine of the players will be suspended for four games, two players received two-game suspensions, while the remaining two athletes will miss only one game.

Reports circulated about the possible exchange of player-exclusive kicks for cash earlier this year and were just recently confirmed. The NCAA prohibits players from selling any kind of apparel given to them by the athletic program.
