Launched in 1995 the Air Penny 1 was designed by Eric Avar as a sneaker replica of Hardaway's playing style. The shoe just like Penny had its own persona unlike any we had seen before. For those wondering the Penny 1 came just before the Foamposite and essentially laid down the groundwork which would inspire the creation of another one of the brand's most extraordinary designs.
