Originally released in 1997 alongside the Pearl's these black on black Foamposite's were apart of the revolutionary Foamposite launch. Since then Nike has brought them back twice in the last decade. What may not be known is that New York City recieved numerous unofficial releases of these at Footlockers between 2002 and 2005. The sneakers durability and versatality made it a staple in NYC during the early 2000's.
