#12 Eggplant Nike Air Foamposite One

The Eggplant Foamposite One released in 2009 and was arguably the best new sneaker of that year behind the Air Yeezy. With almost a full year of hype leading up to it's release the Eggplants had everyone from casual sneakerhead's to the elitist in a frenzy. At one point the demand was so high that people were shelling out $400 for a pair, almost twice the retail rate. Unfortunately for those who were able to obtain a pair in 2009, Nike brought the shoe back in 2010 with a much larger production scale. Ultimately the demand and selling price for these went down causing us to leave it out of our top 10.
