For the third time in a decade the Olympic Air Jordan 7 will be retro'd. The shoe will be one of four Olympic styled Air Jordan's launching this summer including the Gold Medal 6/7 Pack and the Olympic Air Jordan 6. Release is currently set for July 21st with retail price marked at $160. If the two prior releases of this colorway are any indication of what is to come, expect another instant sell out.

LeBron James is fresh off of winning his 3rd MVP Award and he played like one as the Miami Heat went up 1-0 in their 2nd round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers. Nike of course commemorated the feat by designing Bron's 9th signature shoe in an MVP, Miami Heat-type colorway which everyone saw over the weekend when they hit the net and when James laced them up. So for this segment of Sneakerhead Sneaker Watch, we feature this past weekend's LeBron 9 release in the Taxi Elites, coming in its Yellow/Black color scheme. 

The rest of the LeBron 9 family was not left out as many sneaker fanatics brought them out over the past few days in a number of different colorways. Other popular athlete signature sneakers were also on display such as the Kobe VI and VII along with the Zoom KD IV which is coming off its limited Aunt Pearl release. A large portion of Air Jordan retros were also on hand, finishing off the kicks.

The early half of 2012 has been dominated by the Air Jordan 4 as a few colorways have already dropped and even more are on the way. One particular version of the 4th signature comes in the "Fire Red" colorway which many sneakerheads will be eager to get their hands on. In the beginning of April, it was announced that four new colorways of the Foamposite were going to be released throughout the rest of 2012. And one of those really came into fruition in a big way when the "Crimson" joints received a release date of September 1st, already causing anticipation and excitement once again for the coveted Foamposites. Remember the old days when you could walk into a sneaker store and find just about anything you were looking for? Yea me either. Sad to say those times are no longer here but today served as a great example of what the old sneaker days were really like. In one of the most unprecedented restocks in history, 21 Mercer (Nike's flagship boutique) received a limited resupply of Galaxy Foamposites this morning. Anyone who stopped by the store during their 11am opening came in and found the shoe just sitting on the shelves. In fact shoppers had enough time to try on the shoe and come back for another pair. This summer Nike is coming hard with the Olympic sneakers. With the Air Jordan 6 & 7 models already on the release board it is only right that we also see the notorious Air Force 180 return in its USA colors. Last month Gentry Humphrey confirmed that four more Foamposites were set to launch this year. With just one confirmed we now have a second colorway set to drop around the Olympics. This "Gold Medal" Foamposite will feature an entire gold upper and despite no confirmation expect these around the end of the summer. Now the types of concepts and themes behind some of the inspirations may start to become more clever and close-to-home as well as the latest comes in the form of the "Infrared" Air Max 90. A week ago, Sneaker Watch reported that May 19th is the official release date for the "No Entourage" Nike SB Dunk Lows. And while that date still stands, there is a bit more info clinging to this particular release. Well known skate shop Premier will be holding an in-store only release of the kicks on that day, the 19th, with a limited stock available. 2012 is set to be a big year for the Air Jordan 12. With three original colorways currently on the calendar in addition to several new retro+ models, it's easy to say that consumers can expect it to be one of the biggest sneakers of the year. Today we bring you a first look at the retro version of the Obsidian colorway. Currently scheduled to release on June 23rd, the colorway is the final OG makeup to get a retro release.

The leading headwear brand and one of the oldest footwear companies have teamed up for a special collaboration sneaker. That's right New Era and Converse are preparing to put out a special edition version of the Chuck Taylor this July. The one of a kind design features the same fabric used for New Era Fitteds throughout the upper and offers a green sole (to mimic green underbrims) and the iconic NE logo on the heel. Kevin Durant's latest signature sneaker, the Zoom KD IV, has been the surprise Nike Basketball silhouette of the year as it has totally taken the sneaker community by storm. But many fans are still awaiting release confirmation in regards to the "Three 4 Five" edition of the Zoom KD IV which surfaced months ago. A recent image revealed that Durant himself keeps a pair in his locker, possibly waiting to lace them for game time if given the chance. In recent months, the amount of custom jobs that have been applied to the game's hottest and most popular sneakers have risen in great numbers. The inspirations and concepts for the designs have also become more and more sly and creative. And here, an artist and long time Air Jordan fan and follower, Sergio Garcia, shows his love for the signature series through his own artistic touch by creating Air Jordan pieces out of gunpowder, a collection which he dubs "Heat". The Nike Penny line has seen a major reemergence in recent years. Retro releases of just about all of Penny's kicks have hit retail stores. The Air Force 1 received a new reconstruction. In fact it was stripped of its insides for a lighter feel just in time for the summer's warm weather. This particular obsidian Deconstruct model is highlighted by a suede upper and a gum bottom. Those interested can find the sneaker now at Nike retailers such as Nice Kicks.

Michael Jordan's departure from the game of basketball after the 1993 season left big shoes to feel for the rest of the NBA. And as he went on to play for the Birmingham Barons, Nike kept working on his signature kicks from the Air Jordan line and many of them were in transformed into cleated versions. The Air Jordan 10 has been the subject of more than one cleated creation and here we get at one pair that's made its to eBay, this pair being a Michael Jordan-issued edition. The Air Jordan 1 KO is making a return this summer in two Chicago Bulls inspired colorways. After a less than successful relaunch in 2010, Jordan Brand hopes to erase the past history with these two new releases. Anyone interested can expect the sneaker to be a quickstrike release sometime in July or August with both makeups releasing on the same day.

Most recently, Sneaker Watch brought you a look at the two other colorways of the Air Penny 5 coming in the "New Green" or "Dolphins" make up along with what may be the first release in the "Orlando" color scheme. But not much has been talked about in regards to the Phoenix joints which we get a much better look at here this time around. This closer image gives us a clearer vision of the shoe which features a Grey upper with Orange fading into Purple on the midsole, making for a rather unique style. Earlier in the year, big news was announced for the Air Penny line as a new colorway, known as New Green, of the highly anticipated Penny 5 surfaced online and took the sneaker community by storm. The Nike iD website has allowed for several unique creations of the LeBron 9, arguably some of the best we have seen altogether. This time around, the group chose to work on the Nike LeBron 9 which serves as one of the more popular Nike Basketball silhouettes. The inspiration for their latest design stems from legendary New York City rap duo, Mobb Deep. The first release LeBron 9 features its typical black/red colorway but the highlight comes in the form of Mobb Deep's lyrics which appear in graffiti-styled lettering around the heel of the construction as well as the side panel. To finish off this special creation, the group's name is seen on the heel of shoe, making them official. There are only 30 of these being sold and for $350. Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller will be collaborationg with clothing brand Diamond Supply on a limited edition snapback cap to be released on Karmaloop.com on May 28th. The Crown Royal SB Dunk Lows were first previewed months ago when early images first hit the net. Since then, many have been trying to get their hands on this alcoholic beverage-inspired sneaker that comes in a Purple/Gold colorway. Those who have been wanting to cop these can hit up well known skate shop Premier now as they've recently gotten their stock in. Who's copping?

The Bespoke Air Force 1 program hasn't been booming as much as it used to but new designs slowly make their way onto the net. One of the latest pairs comes from Erik of SneakersNStuff. He decided to use a combination of leather and cork material on the upper, both coming in different shades of brown. The insole also sees a lighter shade of Caramel Brown. Finished off by a black midsole, the highlight of this design is the "C" and "E" branding seen on the heels of each shoe, representing the names of Erik's kids Charlie and Elton and their birthdays also appearing on the lace decals.
